● Our Purpose
A culture evolves when it is remembered, recorded, and shared. The Rwanda Cultural Museum is a non-profit dedicated to documenting and digitizing the country’s literature, music, art, craft and oral memory gathering what is scattered, restoring what is fragile, and opening it freely to the world.
This is not an archive behind glass. It is a doorway. Every collection you enter is a room you are invited to walk through, listen in, and add your own story to.

Our Growth & Journey
What began in 2023 as a search for Rwanda’s history has grown into a vision to make the country’s knowledge, stories, and cultural heritage easier to discover and preserve.
In 2024, the idea took shape. In 2025, the first lines of code turned that vision into a real project. Now, in 2026, our digital Library is live, opening the door for people to explore and read books online.
This is only the beginning. With plans to bring together music, audio recordings, videos, photographs, and more, we’re building a digital home for Rwanda’s heritage — one that grows with every story preserved and every new discovery shared.
